The campground at Topaz Lake sits within the county-operated Topaz Lake Recreation Area. While the recreation area offers a boat ramp, several day use areas, a short hike to a viewpoint, and lake activities, the campground may be the main attraction to the lake.

Spacious and containing a variety of camp sites to appeal to a range of camping preferences, Topaz Lake Campground has dry camping for vehicles, pull in sites for RVs with full water and electrical hook ups, and primitive camping along the lakeshore for those looking for a simple spot to pitch their tent for the night.

Vehicle camp sites have tables and fire rings, and many sit at the lake's edge. A line of trees provides shade, however, the downside is that the sites sit side by side and there are no barriers or privacy between neighboring sites.

Some of the amenities available at the recreation area are horseshoe pits, a boat ramp, an RV dump station, potable water (not available during winter), and a fish cleaning station. Dogs are permitted on leash. A single bathroom with showers and flush toilets serves the entire campground, and vault toilet buildings are placed throughout the park area.

All vehicle camping and RV sites must have a reservation. Sites may be reserved online, however all primitive sites are available strictly on a walk in basis.

Prices vary by camp site type. Please see the Douglas County Community Services page for further details.
