Westside Campground is one of two campgrounds inside the Rye Patch State Recreation Area, the other being River Campground, located immediately downstream from the reservoir. Westside Campground contains 25 sites, including two ADA-friendly sites. The sites are lined up along the foot of a hillside on the edge of the 11,000 surface-acre reservoir. Each site has a covered picnic bench and a fire ring, though the sites are lined up side-by-side in the tree-less landscape, so the only privacy between campsites comes in the form of any empty sites between neighboring campers.

The campground is located beside the park's dual boat ramp, and it has a central sink and central bathroom and pay-shower building that serves campers as well as visitors. Camp fees are $15 per night or $20 for a campsite and use of the boat launch. Sites are available strictly on a first-come, first-served basis. A dump station is located adjacent to River Campground.
