Willow Creek Campground is a part of Ward Charcoal Ovens State Historic Park. Sitting at just over 7,000 feet in elevation, the campground is open year round pending weather conditions.

Fifteen campsites, and one additional group site which requires a reservation, fan out along a short one-way road above the northern edge of Willow Creek. The park's relatively isolated location near where the Egan Mountains meet the Steptoe Valley in eastern Nevada typically keep park visitation and camping crowd-free, often offering a quieter alternative to the nearby Cave Lake State Park campgrounds.

Just outside the entrance to the campground, a trail leads directly to the historical charcoal ovensand accesses the park's several other trails. A network of OHV trails begins nearby as well.

Three sites have pull-through parking that can accommodate medium size RVs, and two sites (#12 and #14) offer ADA-friendly parking and paved access to the central vault toilets.

Eash site contains a covered picnic bench, grill and fire pit. Sites are $15 nightly. There is a 14-day limit per 30-day period on camping.

Water is available from spigots located around the campground on a seasonal basis, typically May through September.

The campground is located about 7 miles down a well-graded gravel road from Highways 50/93. The nearest amenities are in the town of Ely, about 20 miles north of the campground.
