Hancock Campground is a popular camping spot conveniently located just outside the town of Lincoln and close to several swimming and hiking destinations. Lincoln Woods, one of the most used trails in the White Mountains, is only a half mile east on the Kancamangus Highway.

Hancock Campground is open year round and is even plowed during the winter. It fills quickly during the summer months and always operates on a first-come, first-served basis. The campground has 56 campsites and can accommodate both tents and RVs, and there are a handful of sites along the East Branch of the Pemigewasset River requiring a very short walk to reach. For those camping in the main loop, a river trail leads down to the water where campers can enjoy the scenery and cool off. Campsites include a picnic table and fire pit, and walk-in sites also feature a bear-resistant food box to store food, garbage, and scented items in since vehicles aren’t immediately nearby. Bundles of firewood are available during the busy season.
