Zealand Campground is a small but conveniently located campground on the fringe of the White Mountains. It lies at the intersection of New Hampshire Route 302 and Zealand Road. Zealand Road is the access point to the trails in the Zealand Valley. Hiking, mountain biking, and fishing are popular recreation draws in the summer months.

The campground features 11 basic campsites (one is taken by the camp host). Each site has a metal fire ring and picnic table. Most of them have some access down to the Ammonoosuc River. Nine of the 11 campsites are situated on a manicured grassy field and offer little privacy. Campsites nine and 10 offer a little more visual privacy but are closer to the highway.

Amenities provided are a refuse container, potable water via hand pump, and two vault toilet facilities.

This campground runs on a first-come, first-served basis and is open from mid-May through mid-October.

Directly across Zealand Road from the campground is the Zealand Picnic Area. This modest picnic area features three picnic tables with easy access to the river and one barbecue grill at the far end. There is a refuse container and a vault toilet building.

This area, where the Zealand River meets the Ammonoosuc River, was once a busy logging town with over 300 inhabitants. Once the Zealand Valley was logged out of salable lumber, the mill operation was moved south to the town of Lincoln. This only took 10 years.

Note that firewood cannot be brought in from an area originating outside of New Hampshire or Maine. This is due to the possibility of two invasive and destructive beetle species. Firewood can be purchase at Foster's Crossroad Store near the intersection of U.S. Route 302 E and U.S. Route 3 E. A bundle of wood costs $5.00.
