Little Sand Point is a charming campground on the north shore of Piseco Lake. While it has a certain rustic character to it, the updated facilities and relatively quiet campground is a sure bet when it comes to enjoying the southern Adirondacks.
Featuring 74 sites, many of which are on the lake, the campground is open from mid-May to early September. A boat launch allows for canoes, kayaks, and larger motor boats. There is a sandy beach next to the boat launch, but campers with sites on the water usually have their own private mini beach as well. The long, quiet road along the north shore of Piseco Lake lends itself to cycling, and the trailhead for Echo Cliffs is a short walk from the campground.
The campground features potable water, several restrooms, and a newly renovated shower facility. Picnic tables and stone fireplaces are included with all campsites. Fifty-six of the 74 sites allow for trailers or RVs, the remainder are for tents only. Dogs are allowed, provided they remain on leash.
Camping is $20 per night.
