Oregon Inlet Campground offers a beautiful place to pitch your tent in a convenient location. Just south of Nags Head, it is the northernmost campground within Cape Hatteras National Seashore. With 107 campsites just a short walk from the beach, Oregon Inlet Campground is a great place to spend a few nights!

Each of the three road loops at the campground have their own restroom and shower facilities. Loop A is for tents only, while loops B and C accommodate tents and RVs. Each campsite is equipped with a picnic table and a small grill. There are no RV hookups, but a dumpster and a water fill station are just down the road across from Oregon Inlet Fishing Center and free to campers.

There are many sandy trails through the dunes to the beach. Wide and unobstructed by houses or development, the beach here is great for relaxing, surfing, swimming, or fishing. With an off-road vehicle permit, you can also drive on the beach at the Coquina Beach ramp across the street from Bodie Island Lighthouse, approximately 4 miles north of the campground.
