Clearwater Falls is a small but beautiful waterfall located just off the Rogue-Umpqua National Scenic Byway (Highway 138). The dense old growth forest in this area adds to the beauty of the falls. The Clearwater River is fed by a spring not too far upstream from here, so the falls are fairly consistent in flow throughout the year.

A small picnic area with a few tables is found near the parking lot. The waterfall is just a short stroll down the path from here (the path is ADA accessible). The pathway ends at a wooden observation deck where you’ll find a couple of informative plaques and a great view of the falls.

The falls appear to almost emerge out of the ground near the top. The crystal clear waters tumble down through moss and fallen logs. Although Clearwater Falls certainly isn’t the most impressive waterfall found in this area, the serenity and beauty of the area may just make it one of your favorites.
