The hot springs located along East Lake's southern shore are truly for the die-hard hot springs enthusiasts.  The springs are hot (100-120 degrees) and certainly omit the classic but less than desirable sulfur odor.  By digging out your own pool to achieve the right mix of spring and lake water, however, you can create a more ideal scenario.  What's more, you'll most likely not have to fight anyone for the perfect spot, as most people make their way to Paulina Lake Hot Springs, which draws a far larger crowd.
