Situated on the southwestern shore of Elk Lake, Point Campground is a perfect spot to take in the panoramic and often bluebird views of the nearby Cascades: South Sister, Broken Top and Mount Bachelor.  Like many of Hoodoo Recreation's campgrounds, the facilities are modest with no potable water, a vault toilet and only 9 campsites, although it does have its own boat ramp.  Also, the campground is situated alongside the Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway, so be prepared to hear the relatively light noise of passing cars.

If you'd prefer a more tranquil setting along the lake, consider Little Fawn Campground on the southeastern shore.  This campground doesn't offer the same views as Point Campground does, but it is nestled in a less visited area that is farther from the highway.
