Heceta Beach is a sandy beach just north of the town of Florence. The beach has two main entrances, one on either side of the Driftwood Shores Resort. The northern entrance, called Heceta Beach North, has a parking area with shaded and sunny picnic benches, vault toilets, and trash cans, all adjacent to a short trail leading past the dunes and to the beach.

A day-use parking fee of $4 is required, payable in cash at a self-serve sign or via the PassPort Parking App

The beach is sandy, but with no barrier from wind. While rarely crowded, visitors can venture south once they're on the sand to quickly access beach in front of a wetlands area that will usually have no other people around. A gravel parking area on the south side of the Driftwood Shores Resort, called Heceta Beach South, also has a short path leading to the beach, with no day use parking fee. However, there are no amenities of any kind at this parking area. Neither lot is large enough for RVs. Heceta Beach is a Lane County Park, and all applicable rules apply.
