Keizer Rapids Park lies along the Willamette River just west of the town of Keizer. The convenient location makes the lovely park a favorite place for locals to get out and enjoy nature. Keizer Rapids got its name from the Keizur family that homesteaded the adjacent area during the mid 1800s. Today, the 148-acre park offers ample space for recreation.

The park offers an assortment of hiking and biking trails that crisscross the area, some paved and some natural surfaces. A nice section of forest is found in the middle of the park. The Willamette River of course is also a main attraction here. One of the park trails leads nearby and offers a few shaded areas to sit and enjoy the river view. Those looking to get on the water can use the park’s boat ramp. There is also a campsite that is boat-in only.

Other park features include an amphitheater that regularly hosts live music events during the summer, an 18 hole disc golf course, sand volleyball court, and off leash dog park. There are picnic tables scattered around the park as well, some with shade structures. There is also a large playground area for the kids.
