Located within the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, just south of Florence, Lodgepole Picnic Area is a nice little day use area to have lunch or just relax for a moment. The small meadow area has enough space to run around, explore, and there’s even opportunity to fish in the Siltcoos River.

The area is along the Siltcoos Beach Access Road and is easily accessible from Highway 101. Amenities include a vault toilet, picnic tables and fire pits. The parking area is small, but it does include one ADA space.

From the picnic area you can continue on the access road to other hiking trails, campgrounds, as well as a beach access point. This area of the Oregon Coast is very popular with off highway vehicles (OHV) and can be exceptionally busy during the summer season.
