This small, seven-site campground is one of numerous campgrounds in the area that provides access to the countless serene mountain lakes of the Olallie Scenic Area, a nationally designated area located between 7,215-foot Olallie Butte and Oregon’s second highest peak, 10,495-foot Mount Jefferson to the south.

From the campground it is only a half-mile walk to Lower Lake and an additional mile to Fish Lake.  Alternately, from Lower Lake (situated at 4,800 feet), hike southwest to connect with the Pacific Crest Trail; from there you can climb to Top Lake and Double Peaks (5,998 feet) to gain panoramic views of the Scenic Area and Mount Jefferson.
