Natural Bridge is a unique section of the Rogue River where the river disappears underground into a 250-foot lava tube before reemerging again further downstream. This result is a natural land bridge across the river.

The hike to Natural Bridge is half a mile (round trip) on an easy, paved trail that is ADA accessible. After leaving the parking area you’ll soon cross a footbridge across the river. The views from here are perhaps the best of the entire hike, the raging waters of the Rogue below are quite the sight.

Shortly after the footbridge you’ll come to one of the several informative plaques along the trail. Across the river from this plaque you’ll notice a small cave. This is actually the opening of a lava tube. You’ll soon see where the Rogue exits the main lava tube. Continue upstream until you reach the final informative plaque and the inlet to the lava tube. When satisfied, return the way you came back to the parking lot.
