Located just outside of Frenchglen, Page Springs Campground is by far the largest publicly managed campground serving outdoor visitors to Steens Mountain and the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge area.

With 36 spacious campsites, visitors will be glad to know the campground is open year-round. It is operated on a first-come, first-served basis, however, and getting a campsite in the summer can be challenging. Page Springs Campground does not provide RV hook-ups, but adjacent Steens Mountain Wilderness Resort Campground, also open year-round, offers campsites with electric, water, and sewer hook-ups.

For hikers, fly fishers, bird watchers, and those with kids, the campground also serves as the trailhead for two short hikes. To the south, the Donner und Blitzen River Trail meanders 0.9 miles up the Wild and Scenic River, and to the east, the Page Springs Nature Trail climbs 200 feet to the top of the bluff overlooking the campground and the Donner und Blitzen Valley. In total, the trail is a 1.1-mile loop.
