Pioneer Park is a favorite hangout for locals, and after visiting you’ll probably see why. This park, nestled among towering Douglas fir trees, offers plenty of green space to play or relax. A disc golf course winds its way through the park, and you’ll find a basketball court, playground, horseshoes, and hiking trails that lead into next-door Wilderness Park. There are also several great picnicing spots with tables.

Perhaps the main attraction at Pioneer Park is the Jordan Covered Bridge. This bridge, built in 1937, was originally located near the rural community of Jordan about 10 miles from here. It was moved to the park in 1988, and sadly caught fire and burned down in 1994. The bridge has since been rebuilt and looks as beautiful as ever.
