Reservoir Campground is a quiet campground located about 2 miles down South Wickiup Reservoir Road from its intersection with Cascade Lakes Highway on the south shores of the lake. Reservoir Campground is the only campground on the south shore of the lake. As a result, it is the only campground with views of Mount Bachelor and Broken Top. Most sites at the reservoir are far from one another, and the campground has a much more primitive feel, especially when compared to the very developed Gull Point Campground and the campgrounds surrounding it.

Reservoir Campground is generally not crowded, and most visitors in the summer can drive into a great campsite, even on a weekend. The campground also has one of the best beaches of any campground in the entire Cascade Lakes region. In the spring, fishing can bring a few crowds to the good sites near the lake. If you do plan on bringing a boat to Reservoir Campground, both boat launches are unpaved, narrow, and bumpy. A high-clearance vehicle and experience at sandy boat launches is invaluable for boaters here. Both boat launches at the campground have day use parking to fit trailers.
