Squaw Lakes Campgrounds is one of the true Southern Oregon gems for those looking for some solitude at a well-maintained and beautiful campground in the region.  If you're willing to make the 8-mile drive on a bumpy dirt road past Applegate Lake, you'll be rewarded with calm swimming water, beautiful sunsets, and peace and quiet in cozy camping coves.

There are 19 camping sites at Squaw Lakes in addition to a handful of day use sites.  The sites fill up fast during peak seasons, so it is best to call ahead or reserve online prior to your arrival.  Each site is well-separated from neighboring sites, giving guests the ability to spread out and enjoy the calm surroundings.  Many sites also have direct lake access for anglers or those who bring a kayak or canoe for paddling.

All facilities are well-maintained, and the hike to your site will be mostly flat.  A local camp host is also available during peak seasons to help you find your site and even carry gear if needed for $10 per trip.
