The Stayton Riverfront Park provides a few short walking trails and is located between the Stayton Ditch and North Santiam River. This lollipop loop trail begins by crossing over the Stayton Ditch (a terrible name for what is really a picturesque little stream) via the Florence Street Pedestrian Bridge. The trail then follows a gravel road alongside the ditch until reaching an area that is fenced off to the public.

From here, take a right until you near the North Santiam River and another road. There are a few areas to veer off to the river in this area if you are looking to fish or swim. After reaching a wooden bench, take a right to connect back with the first gravel road and return to trailhead. Or, if you wish, continue straight to follow the North Santiam River for a while longer.
