Open year-round and located nearly 3 miles east of Frenchglen, this very rustic resort/campground will be a welcome stay for visitors traveling from afar who are in need of a warm shower, a campsite, or a place to park and hook up their RV.

Privately run, the Steens Mountain Wilderness Resort packs in 37 full hook-up (electric, water and sewer) RV sites as well as 39 basic hook-up (electric and water) RV sites, 12 car/tent sites, and nine mobile home "cabins" onto their little area. Efficiency and maximum capacity was the priority when the campground was planned, to say the least, and there is little privacy between sites.

Unlike the nearby publicly managed campgrounds such as Page Springs, this campground does provide most of the basic amenities desired by any weary traveler; you'll find plumbed restrooms, utility sinks, showers, a laundry facility, and a general store.
