Summerlake Park lies in the middle of suburbia like an oasis waiting for a quick and peaceful getaway. Many of those who live nearby simply use the paved paths to get their morning exercise, while others drive in to enjoy the many ammenities Summerlake Park has to offer. This is a great spot for hosting sports events and birthday parties, and there is plenty of room to take a relaxing walk along the boardwalk, so there are activities for all ages. There are many courts and fields for sports, several playgrounds, picnic tables and restrooms, several miles of boardwalk along the lake, bird watching, fishing and much more. There is even a fenced dog park. Along the boardwalk of the lake you will see plenty of geese; just make sure to treat them kindly because they are wild animals. In all, Summerlake Park is a quick and easy nature getaway that is very easy to access from the Portland area.
