The North Arm Campground is by far the quietest, most tranquil and most isolated of the eight established campgrounds that encircle the reservoir.  Other than one vault toilet, picnic tables and fire pits, the campground offers few amenities, but its rugged and isolated nature is its greatest asset.  When the rest of the reservoir’s campgrounds are packed with summer crowds, the North Arm Campground remains peaceful, much to the delight of those seeking a serene camping experience.  Little Crater Lake is an easy 1-mile hike from the campground, as well.  Swing by any of the other Timothy Lake campgrounds to see a camp host when you want to check in.

If the North Arm Campground is full, check out any of the other reservoir’s campgrounds: Pine Point Campground, Hoodview Campground, Gone Creek Campground and Oak Fork Campground.  If you’d like a quieter camping experience, try the walk-in only Meditation Point Campground, or the nearby Little Crater Lake and Clackamas Lake Campgrounds.
