Trout Creek Campground is situated in the Willamette National Forest just 20 miles past Sweet Home. While it may not be the most developed of campgrounds, the beauty and serenity of the area more than compensate for any lack of amenities. There are 24 campsites, including five pull-through RV spots. Reservations can be made online, and reservations are recommended for the summer and on weekends. The sites stay shaded by Douglas firs and hemlocks, and the campground is great for families.

There is no shortage of hiking and river activities nearby. The Menagerie Wilderness is just across the street and offers access to great hiking. Additionally, Cascadia State Park is nearby and is packed with trails, history, and great swimming. Alternately, the campground is a lovely place to spend the day. Trout Creek Campground sits along the South Santiam River, which is a great fishing and swimming resource on hot summer days. Firewood is available for a fee. Whether you want a relaxing place to hang out or a portal to adventure, this campground won't disappoint!
