Waverly Lake is a small artificial lake located in Albany, Oregon. Before 1939, this area was a gravel pit, but after its abandonment the pit filled with water, and thus Waverly Lake was created. Perhaps the most recognizable thing about Waverly is the huge floating duck anchored in the middle of the lake. For bird lovers, lots of actual ducks and geese can be found here as well. The lake is also regularly stocked with rainbow trout and is a perfect place to spend the afternoon fishing.

There is an easy paved trail that loops around the 5 -cre lake, and this trail provides a wonderful way to get some exercise and enjoy the beauty of Waverly Lake. Paddle boats are also available to rent during the summer months, making Waverly Lake a popular place for families to visit and play. Rates are $5 per boat per half-hour.
