The campground at Andrew Jackson State Park contains 25 sites located along a single loop road in the mixed pine and hardwood forest adjacent to the park's lake area.

Each site has water and electrical hook ups, with 20 of the sites containing gravel driveways suitable for RVs up to 30 feet in length, and 5 sites having paved driveways that are able to accommodate RVs up to 36 feet in length.

The campground is located in a quiet forested area of the park, where trees rustle in the wind, and lying at the bottom of the sloped campground is the lake. While it looks tempting, swimming is not permitted here.

One central bathroom has flush toilets and free showers. The park's picnic area and playground is located just outside of the campground's entrance. All sites have picnic tables, fire pits with grills, and hooks to hang food from, and all sites can accommodate tent camping. There is relatively little privacy, with only scattered small trees between neighboring sites. However outside of peak season, the campground generally stays quiet enough that campers can spread out.

A large grassy area makes up the site's primitive campground which is available to groups of up to 50 people.

There is a two night minimum for booking. Campers also have the benefit of access to the Garden of the Waxhaws Trail [add hyperlink] which passes along the shore of the lake just beneath the campground, and a sandy lake beach which allows easy put in access for kayaks and canoes.

An RV dump station is located just outside of the campground.
