Hilton Head has miles of beautiful public beaches to choose from, and Coligny Beach Park is one of the best access points. It is conveniently close to a lot of the island's rental properties, shopping, and dining. Parking is ample and free. There are restrooms, changing rooms, outdoor showers, benches, and a picnic area in a nice little park between the parking lot and the beach.

This beach, like most of Hilton Head's Atlantic coast, is a wide open stretch of soft white sand perfect for any beach activities. The surf is small to medium and generally breaks close to shore. During the summer you can rent chairs and umbrellas, or bring your own any time. Lifeguards are on duty seasonally. Per Town of Hilton Island regulations, dogs are not allowed on the beach between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. from Labor Day through Memorial Day weekends, but they are permitted the rest of the year. Please always clean up after your pet.
