The Cumberland Mountain Campground, located in Tennessee's Cumberland Mountain State Park, offers 145 tent and RV campsites. The campground is a central location for the park's many activities and features, as well as being conveniently located to nearby attractions. The campground includes multiple camping areas, electricity, bathhouses, a playground and ADA-accessible sites. There is also a backcountry campsite available on an 8-mile trail. Checking in and out at the park office is required. Other lodging in the park includes fully-furnished cabins and the Mill House. The Mill House is located directly beside the 1930s dam and can accommodate up to 16 people. The Mill House stands away from all the other cabins, but it is in the heart of the park. However, staying in the park's campground gives you a true experience of being outdoors and sleeping under the Cumberland Plateau stars.

While staying in the campground, you'll have access to the park's many features. Within the area, you'll find the following an Olympic-sized swimming pool with snack bar, fishing on Byrd Lake, kayak and canoe rentals, hiking trails, playgrounds, picnic shelters, ball fields, tennis course, a nearby golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus and much more. If you're planning a tour of Tennessee State Parks or of the many breathtaking waterfalls of the Cumberland Plateau, this is your perfect pit stop. Relax at the campground for a few days and then explore other areas in the region. You'll find Ozone Falls, Fall Creek Falls State Park, Black Mountain and the Cumberland Trail, Burgess Falls State Park, Virgin Falls State Natural Area, Cummins Falls State Park, Rock Island State Park and more, which are all within a hour of the park. With enough spots to fill in months of exploring, the best time to start is now!
