Marion County Park is located on the shores of the Tennessee River (Nickajack Lake). The campground is perfect for those looking to easily access the water for fishing or recreation. There are two boat ramps in the park, as well as a boat and fishing pier. There is also a day use area for picnicking, swimming and relaxing. While the park provides easy access to the river, there are some major drawbacks to staying here including the constant road noise from nearby Interstate 24, and a very urban feel to the campsites with very little privacy whatsoever.

Marion County Park offers 59 RV sites with electric and water hookups. A good amount of these sites are pull-through sites that are ideal for larger RVs and motorhomes. In addition, there are 24 “primitive” tent sites available without hookups. These sites are located a bit closer to the river and are actually more scenic than most of the RV sites. There are two bathhouses with toilets and showers, as well as an RV dump station.
