The Mossy Ridge Trail, located in Percy Warner Park, is a moderately challenging 4.5-mile loop. It’s close location to Nashville makes it very popular, but thanks to the size of the Warner Parks (over 3,180 acres), it is still possible to avoid the crowds and get lost in nature.

The trail winds through deciduous forest rich with oak, hickory, beech, and maple. Many intriguing limestone rock outcroppings can found along the trail. Deer are often seen in the park along with many species of birds. Be prepared for sections of steep and strenuous trail, and be sure to watch your step as many tree roots and occasional rock outcroppings clog the trail.
