If you are ever visiting the Pickwick Landing area and want to camp, this is the place for you. There are 100 camping sites to choose from, all arranged in three semi-circles facing the river. There are handicap areas, tent-only sites, and several pull-through sites, and electric and water hookups are also available. It is located very close the Tennessee River, where you can take part in many extracurricular actives. The staff there are welcoming and ready to serve you in every manner. It is minutes from Pickwick Landing State Park, which is on the other side of the dam. You can watch the ships come in and out of the lock while you fish. This is one of the few TVA-funded campsites in the state. Here you will find tranquility and fun all in the same place, and there are very few places in Tennessee where you will find so many campsites near the river. Reservations are available here, and the campground is closed in the winter.
