Nestled away in the Northern half of Fall Creek Falls State Park is Hemlock Falls. This land was donated to the state in the 1990’s. This trail has everything, waterfalls, caves, wildflowers, and ulimited beauty.

The Hemlock falls trail is a total of 6.2 miles, with a total elevation gain of 649 ft. Several sections of the trail, is kinda steep, wet, and includes rocky creek crossings. Be careful on the sections of the trail, as it can be very easy to fall or lose your balance. Overall, the trail is in good shape. Several places on the trail, there are some downed trees, but other than that it’s in good shape.

Wild boar have been sighted on this trail, be careful as they’ve been known to be aggressive.

*Don’t forget, there is a beautiful waterfall falling into a sink hole called Cueva Guapa Falls. The waterfall is off-trail around the 4 mile mark.

Camps Gulf Cave is nearby, this cave has some of the biggest rooms in North America. On this trail, there is cave entrences, you can explore during Tennessee caving season, May 1st to August 31st. Please don't enter caves during the offseason, protect the bats!

Get outside and enjoy this beautiful trail and waterfalls.
