At 8,300 feet and set along the far southern edge of the Bryce Canyon Amphitheater, Bryce Point offers unparalleled sunrise views and opportunities for spectacular photography in Bryce Canyon National Park. While Sunrise Point, Sunset View, and Inspiration Point are all excellent overlooks for sunrise, the northern-facing Bryce Point offers viewers and photographers a perpendicular aspect of the sunrise across the canyon. Other scenic overlooks have a more easterly direction. This means photographs can be taken without the need for sophisticated post-processing. Additionally, its elevated perch provides the grand sweeping perspective of the entire canyon floor.

For the best views, arrive one hour prior to the reported sunrise. Partly cloudy days will provide additional pop and color to the Utah sky. While all the Bryce overlooks are worth the quick walk from the car, Bryce Point is a must for sunrise. Be prepared for very cold temperatures in the winter on this exposed overlook.

Bryce Point is a trailhead for the Peek-a-Boo Trail, which begins in a very sharp, switchback-filled descent into the canyon.
