Cowboy Campground is a small campground with a primitive feel located just off Highway 313. The rough access road is recommended for high clearance vehicles only, but those with low clearance should be able to make it in by driving carefully. The campsites are only suitable for tents, vans or trucks with campers - no trailers or RVs. The secluded campsites here are located on a ridge and offer fantastic views of the surrounding canyon country. Cowboy Campground is also in a prime location for outdoor recreation with lots of 4WD roads and mountain bike routes nearby, as well as Dead Horse State Park and Canyonlands National Park located just up the highway.

There are 7 sites at Cowboy Campground. Again, no trailers or RVs will fit in here. All campsites have a picnic table and fire pit with grate, as well as stunning vistas. A vault toilet is also available. All sites are first come, first serve with no reservations possible. No hookups or water is available.
