Dead Horse Point Overlook offers some of the best bang-for-your-buck views anywhere in the Moab region. Those who make the short detour to the Overlook will be able to park their vehichle, take a very accessible trail for just a couple hundred feet, and take in jaw-dropping views.

From the Overlook, the Island in the Sky dominates the skyline. Below eye level, there's a vast collection of geographical wonders as the top of the canyon descends 2,000 feet to the Colorado River. The impressive views sweep from Shafer Canyon to the north all the way around to the La Sal Mountains, visible in the south on a clear day. You can also see Potash Road below, an old four-wheel drive road that runs from the Canyonlands entrance back to Moab.
