Grandstaff Campground is a very popular campground located just 6 miles from both Downtown Moab and the entrance of Arches National Park. In addition, the Grandstaff Trail and legendary Porcupine Rim Trail begin just across the street from the campsites. A paved bike path also runs near the campground. The close proximity to these nearby attractions can make it difficult to snag a spot here, especially during peak tourism months.

Grandstaff has a length limit of 24 feet meaning it is a tent only campground, although those with vans could also camp here. 16 total campsites are available, most of which are very similar and lined up with a backdrop of the beautiful Colorado River. Unfortunately the sites aren’t super private. Trees do offer a bit of shade here, a welcome relief during the hot Utah summers.

Other than vault toilets and dumpsters, there are no amenities here at Grandstaff Campground, not even drinking water. Note that all campsites are first come, first serve with no reservations possible.
