Hal Canyon is one of the handful of campgrounds tucked away along the “Big Bend” in the Colorado River Canyon. It is located just off Highway 128, about 15 minutes from downtown Moab. The campsites at Hal Canyon offer stunning views of the Colorado and surrounding towering red rock cliffs.

There are 11 campsites at Hal Canyon. The majority of these sites are “walk in” sites, although the walk is very minimal. Tent campers will find Hal Canyon Campground a delight, however those with vans or small trailers will find a few suitable sites as well.

None of the campsites offer hookups of any kind, and there is no drinking water available in the campground. Vault toilets and a dumpster are the only amenities to be found at Hal Canyon.

Note that all campsites are first come, first serve. No reservations are possible.
