Jenny's Canyon sits just past the entrance to Snow Canyon State Park and does have a trailhead that sits just in front of the mouth of the canyon. The hike ends up being so short that it is a bit uneventful, so starting at the Johnson Canyon Trailhead just outside the park entrance is a great alternative. This allows you to stretch your legs and see better views of the cliffs to the south. This is an ideal sunset hike thanks to its short distance and amazing east-facing views. The light works really well with the colors of sandstone during the late hours of the day, when many dynamic shadows are created. Jenny's is a beautiful pocket canyon of red sandstone that has a surprising amount of foliage on the rocks and along the sandy wash. Heavy rain can create flash floods here, but if you happen to be there after some light rains you will see a small waterfall at the far end of the canyon. While hiking in the desert, you always need to be prepared, especially during the summer months; on this short trail you won't need much more than a hat and some water.

From the Johnson Canyon Trailhead, head east until you hit the sandy wash and then head north to the easily visible canyon ahead.
