The Woods Trailhead of the North Basin Trails is a hidden jewel of Park City that gets lost in the shuffle of so many other great places to snowshoe. This little-known area is located almost at the top of Parleys Canyon, making it perfect for Park City and Salt Lake City residents. A small system of trails, sledding hills, a restroom and a fenced-in dog run make this place quite impressive. Leashed dogs are allowed on the trails. This is a perfect getaway for anyone looking for better air quality than what Salt Lake Valley offers on a day with inversion.

Woody Lane, Parleys Lane and the Avenues Trail all can be accessed from here. Each is longer than the next, and you can combine and loop them into a decently long trek. There are several miles of available trails from here. The Woody's and Parley's paths are groomed, so you could-cross country here as well. You would only need actual snowshoes if you were here after a fresh storm; otherwise, microspikes may be a good idea. This network is a part of the Snyderville Basin Special Recreation District, which offers a ton of outdoor action for anyone in the area. The paths do cut near private residences, so please be respectful.
