Red Hollow Slot Canyon is located on the outskirts of the small town of Orderville, Utah. The trailhead is an unsigned area near a water facility with room for three or four cars, located at the end of a sandy, unmaintained road. Those with low clearance vehicles will need to take it slow, or may choose to park somewhere in the nearby neighborhood and walk this last stretch to the trailhead.

Once at the trailhead you’ll need to take one of several user trails downhill and to the left to get to the main trail. The main trail follows a sandy wash all the way to the entrance of the slot.

The slot canyon itself is quite beautiful. You’ll face a few small obstacles upon venturing inside - namely some small boulders and a quite narrow section of slot canyon. The turnaround point will be obvious when you reach a 15ft sheer wall. There may or may not be a rope at this point, if there is the truly adventurous may choose to try and climb up the wall. This is not recommended for most.

On the way back follow the sandy wash just as you did on the way up. Keep a lookout for the side trails leading back to the trailhead, as it is possible to miss them and continue walking past.
