Rendezvous Beach is one of the three separate locations that make up the greater Bear Lake State Park. Located right on the water, this campground offers a ton of amenities and available sites to choose from. There are 60 sites with full RV hookups and dozens of car, group, and even cabin sites ready to be reserved. There is a small restaurant/grill located near the boat ramp and rental shop. The car camping spots are in the nicest area, with mature trees overhead and the lake just a short distance away. Nearby rental opportunities include boating, stand-up paddling, fishing, rafting, and kayaking.
Some things to do around Bear Lake that are not water related include looking for old pioneer cabins along the highway, attending the Raspberry Festival the first week of August, or checking out the Bear Lake National Wildlife Refuge in nearby Idaho. Known as "the Caribbean of the Rockies," the brilliant color of the water in Bear Lake is quite spectacular. On a historical note, at one point the Oregon Trail went through these parts, and there are historic markers to be found while exploring the area.
