The Cove Trailhead is part of the massive Round Valley Complex in Park City. Unlike the feature-heavy Quinn's Trailhead, the Cove is a much more discrete and a less traveled corner of the 700-acre space. There are no facilities at the Cove. Located in the Park Meadows neighborhood, the views are actually much better than from Quinn's: at least you get nearly 360-degree views of several sections of town. The second major difference between the two is the terrain and how its used. Cross-country skiers might be better off heading to Quinn's to start, but hikers and those riding fat bikes will find more technical terrain on the Cove side. You get tremendous views of Park City's ski resorts as well as the Old Ranch area. Just like at Quinn's, dogs are allowed off leash 150 feet from the trailhead. You can access any Round Valley Trail from here because they are all connected.

A common loop from this trailhead would be heading out northwest on La Dee Duh and coming back due south on Rademan Ridge. It's about a 2 mile loop without any crazy elevation change. This loop gives you a great overall taste of what this side offers. Keep your eyes peeled for moose, which are all over these hills any time of year. There is no avalanche danger here, which makes this area a great, safe place to take the family.
