The St. George Narrows are located within the fabulous 52 acre Pioneer Park. This very popular park is well loved for a reason - there are some very cool rock formations to explore here and the St. George Narrows (also known as the Pioneer Park Narrows) are certainly atop the list.

Begin by finding a place to park along the one way paved park loop. The narrows begin just past the far end of the loop.

The opening to the narrows is wide and anyone can fit. There is even at least one bolted climbing route found leading up the wall here. Things begin to tighten as you continue deeper.

You’ll know when you reach the true narrows portion. Children have no problem fitting through, but larger adults will likely need to turn around. While the narrows section isn’t very long, the tightness makes it unsuitable for anyone with claustrophobia!

You can return to the parking lot by hiking out the way you came, or if you squeeze though the entire narrows you can exit at the top then walk down.
