The charming hamlet of Sundance sits in a small valley on the backside of Mount Timpanogos in the Wasatch Mountains. Associated with the major film festival of the same name, the town does not host many premiers each year unlike nearby Park City. What this place does host a lot of is a ton of of outdoor activities in all seasons found in a relatively small area. With a spectacular setting, the opportunities for outdoor recreation abound. There are also some cool places to shop, eat, and explore in between. Sundance Ski Resort is the main winter draw to the valley and offers four lifts and easier terrain than the nearby Cottonwood Canyon resorts.

The best things to do in the area center around hiking, biking and chasing waterfalls. The ski resort offers lifts for hikers and mountain bikers in the summer months. There are a few reception halls and places for events, and the area is a common destination for wedding receptions. You will also have a decent chance to see deer, moose or hummingbirds. Wildflowers are a common scene as well in the summer. The best nearby attractions include Stewart Falls, the Alpine Loop, Bridal Veil Falls, Scout Falls and Cascade Springs, and all are within 15 minutes or less from the village.
