Tonaquint Park is an impressive space located in St. George, Utah. The large park is a perfect destination for anyone from outdoor enthusiasts to families with young kids. The park is quite popular and can be crowded especially on weekends, but there should still be space for everyone to recreate.

Tonaquint Park is located alongside the Santa Clara River. The paved Santa Clara River Trail runs through the park and is a great choice for anyone looking to go on an easy hike, jog or bicycle ride. There is also a nature center within the park and a small pond where you’ll often find ducks and geese. A few easy trails wind through the woods here making it a great place for young kids to explore.

Of course there is plenty of open space to recreate or relax at the park. There are picnic tables, two covered pavilions, and BBQs. Restrooms can also be found throughout the park. Tonaquint Park also houses eight tournament quality tennis courts, a sand volleyball court and playground areas. There is also a garden area where pristine walking paths meander through a beautiful area complete with palm trees.

Last but not least, on the edge of the park you’ll find the Thunder Junction All Abilities Park. This amazing play space is literally what young children (and perhaps some adults) dream of. The dinosaur themed area features plenty of playground equipment, a climbing wall, splash pads, and an “erupting” volcano. There is also a 1/4-scale train on a 2,700-foot track that can be ridden for a $1 fee.

As you can see, Tonaquint Park has a lot to offer. Be sure to stop by the next time you are in the area.
