Upper Big Bend Campground is the little brother to the more popular Big Bend Campground, located just downstream. Both of these campgrounds are located right alongside the banks of the mighty Colorado River. Upper Big Bend is suitable for tent camping only, no trailers or RVs. Nearby recreational opportunities abound including hiking, rafting and climbing at the popular Big Bend Bouldering Area.

There are eight campsites at Upper Big Bend. All are available on a first come, first serve basis with no reservations possible. All sites have picnic tables and a fire ring. Aside from a vault toilet there are no amenities available, not evening drinking water. What the sites lack in amenities, they make up for with a stunning location alongside the Colorado River and the towering red cliffs above.
