The Burlington Bike Path runs for 9 miles. It starts at Oakledge Park and ends at the Colchester Causeway. There are various parks (Oakledge, North Beach, Leddy Beach) with restrooms, food options and water fountains. Access to a number of beaches, including North Beach and Leddy Beach, can be found directly off of the bike path. Dogs are welcome on the bike path if leashed, and there are two off-leash dog parks that can be accessed directly off of the bike path.
North Beach Campground provides RV and tent camping with restroom facilities, and each site has a picnic table and a designated cooking fire site. The bike path goes through downtown Burlington, passing the ECHO, Leahy Center for Lake Champlain and an ice cream stand in the summer. Biking, running, walking, rollerblading, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing are all activities supported on the bike path during the respective season. The bike path is an enjoyable recreational activity for all seasons, despite the crowded downtown sections in the summer.
