Moose Meadow Treehouse

Moose Meadow Lodge and Treehouse is tucked away in the Green Mountains of Vermont on 86 beautiful acres near the small town of Waterbury. The property consists of the main lodge and a private treehouse, which is a short walk from the lodge. Moose Meadow Lodge is gorgeous and inviting, with four luxurious guest rooms, whimsical decor, and a hot tub on the bottom floor. But the magical Vermont treehouse is one of the most unique vacation rentals in all of Vermont.

The treehouse is located in a private clearing behind the main lodge, overlooking a small pond. It seamlessly blends the wilds of the forest with the warm comforts of home. Rustic details abound, from the beautifully hand-carved stone sink in the bathroom to the deer-antler chandelier and stuffed critters keeping watch over the spiral staircase. With two stories and a single queen-sized bed, this is a perfect retreat for a couple.

The first floor is small and cozy—with a bench, a table, two chairs, and an electric wood stove to keep you warm on chilly nights. There’s a little nook with a coffee maker, mugs, wine glasses, and a few books and games, but no kitchen. A wraparound balcony leads to the outdoor shower with beautiful views of the forest and mountains. The bedroom is on the second floor, with a queen-sized bed (look for custom chocolates on the pillow) and another small balcony overlooking the pond.

Moose Meadow Treehouse guests all have access to the main lodge, which has a full kitchen, a living room with cozy seating (a TV and Wi-Fi too), and a hot tub. Breakfast is provided each morning, and the hosts are happy to accommodate any dietary restrictions if they have advance notice.

Trails crisscross much of the 86 acres surrounding Moose Meadow Lodge. The Sky Loft is a short hike through the woods and perches on a rocky outcropping with incredible views of Hunger Mountain and the Worcester Range. It’s a great place for a picnic lunch or just watching the world go by. During the winter months, snowshoes are available for hiking on the trails.
