Quechee State Park Campground sits just above the deepest gorge in Vermont, and it was developed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in 1962.

The campground has two restrooms with running water and coin-operated showers, an RV sanitary station, and a free Wi-Fi area. Firewood and ice are both available on-site from the park office. Most campsites are large and open to tents, trailers, and RVs, while a select few do not accommodate RVs. For those looking for a unique camping experience without the use of a tent or RV, there are seven lean-tos tucked into the trees throughout the campground. Two of the lean-tos are ADA accessible. Pricing may vary, ranging from $20 to $27 depending on the type of site. Vermont residents get a small discount.

You won't be bored at Quechee State Park Campground, where you'll find a horseshoe pit, two volleyball nets, and plenty of open field space to spread out and play. You may choose to go fishing or boating in nearby waters or enjoy a picnic at one of the picnic areas throughout the park.

A half-mile hiking trail only open to registered campground users leads down into the gorge, where it meets a public trail and brings you up to the visitor center. A short trail connects the visitor center and the campground, allowing for a loop hike. Across US-4 from the campground, a paved, accessible trail parallels the road and leads in both directions to trails, restaurants, shopping, and mini golf. The Quechee Gorge Village is a popular stop, with Segway tours, a toy museum, live alpacas, shops, and more.
