Rock Point in Burlington, Vermont offers breathtaking cliff views just off of the popular Burlington Bike Path from the downtown waterfront, and is a wonderfully accessible haven for sunrise and sunset viewing, hiking and trail running. The official trails start just behind Burlington High School. If accessing these trails from the bike path, hikers/runners should bear right at North Beach through the campground, and will see a posted trail map on the left before the high school. The trails can also be accessed from Leddy Park's parking area north of Rock Point.

Following paved Rock Point Road, hikers/runners enter the Rock Point trail network and pass the beautiful Rock Point Gardens. The trails are a mix of gravel, hard packed dirt, and rocks and roots, and pass viewpoints such as the Outdoor Chapel, Thrust Fault Cove, and most popular Lone Rock Point. If runners are looking for a longer route, they can continue down North Beach from this trail network, or along the 11-mile bike path along Lake Champlain.

There is no charge to use these trails, but visitors are invited to make a voluntary contribution for trail maintenance. Bicycles and swimming are not allowed, as well as climbing unless registered with the CRAG program. Overnight parking is also not allowed.
